About the artist

Daniel Muehlhaus was active/lived in Netherlands.  Daniel Muehlhaus is known for land-and cityscape, still life painting. From 1930 onwards he became a painter. Firstly he was influenced by the Hague School. In 1937 he met Cor Noltee; with him he painted a lot in and around Dordrecht area.
His best works are considered to be made between 1940-1960.

With his friend Jan Korthals he made trips to Paris, after which his works became influenced in a more impressionistic way.  He was a member of Pictura in Dordrecht and Sint Lucas in Amsterdam.
