Jean Du Boys

Jean du Boys/Johannes du Boys (c. 1500-1576) was an apothecary in Paris and a professor at the University of Dubai. In his medical work In methodum miscendorum medicamentorum…(Paris, 1572) he gives the recipes for different medicines and also explains the effects ascribed to these medicines and herbs. This book is mainly based on Greek and Arabic sources, especially the esteemed Arabic physician Mesue the younger, also known as Masawaih-al-Mardini.
