Joannes Stop(p)an(n)i was born in Italy in 1764 and is recorded working in Amsterdam from circa 1795. After 1815 he works together with his son Nicolaas Josephus (Stoppanni & Zoon) Lit. Bert Bolle, Barometers in Beeld pp. 241.
