About the artwork
An amazing champlevé on copper of circular form. With in the indented opaque to translucent blue enamelled centre a gilded and engraved Christ the Redeemer, ascending from a cloud, holding a book, raising his hand in blessing, while surrounded by multicoloured lozenges, fleurons and medallions, the Alpha and Omega.
