- About the artwork27,3-cm square brass velvet covered dial with applied engraved silvered chapter ring with Roman numerals signed Fromanteel Amsterdam, finely engraved and foliate pierced brass hands and silvered alarm disc, apertures for day of the week and date, subsidiary seconds and strike/silent above XII, well cast gilt Cherub spandrels, 8-day movement with latchet knopped and ringed pillars, anchor escapement and inner countwheel Dutch half hour striking on two alternating bells, alarm, oak case veneered with walnut, twisted columns to the hood with a well carved cresting with leaves and scrolls, rectangular moulded door to the trunk with carved lenticle, square base on bun feet.
