Lucifer 1900, Austria Normale prijs €950,00 EUR Gemaakt in de traditie van de Weense bronzen, waarvan Bergmann de bekendste is. Koud geschilderde metaallegering op een geaderd marmeren sokkel. De sokkel is wat beschadigd. Het beeldje is fijntjes uitgewerkt; we zien de geschubte huid van de duivel, zijn lange knokelige vingers en spitse nagels en gelukzalig gezicht. De beschildering is fraai met het brandende houtvuurtje onder de ketel. Waarschijnlijk gemaakt als lucifer houder.
- About the artist
Lucien Alliot was born in Paris on November 16th, 1877. He was a student of Barrias and Coutan, and the son of Napoleon Alliot, who was a sculptor like him.
Lucien is known to have exhibited regurlarly at the Salon de la Société des Artistes Français between the years 1905 and 1939. In 1934 he became its president and he held onto this position until 1939.
His work can be seen in many collections of museums throughout the world. Alliot passed away on the 9th of March, 1967.
