  • About the artist

    Nico Koster is a Dutch photographer who was born in Amsterdam in 1940. He started to learn photography, after joining the Army. In 1963 he began to work for the Dutch newspa-per “De Telegraaf”. He made documentaries about sport, society and fashion. In 1969 he produced his celebrated series about John Lennon and Yoko Ono in the Hilton Hotel, during their “Bed-in-for-Peace”. He photographed the CoBra artists and David Bowie, among others. In the 1980s he established his own gallery in Amsterdam.
