From an early age, the Leiden based art photographer Kommer Hakkenbrak became enchanted by the magic of photography. This resulted in an extensive oeuvre of unique photographic art, all of which contain a characteristic hushed beauty. The atmospheric photographs of still lifes and portraits take you back in time: old masters on the wall, but in a modern way. The special, natural and also unprocessed play of light and dark that can be seen in all of Kommer's photographs is reminiscent of the 17th-century masters. Besides each artwork having a limited edition, some first editions are framed in an antique frame. This makes Kommer's old master photography a unique art object for your home.
