A proposito di opere artista
L'artista dello smalto Camille Fauré è nato a Perigeux nel 1827. Fauré ha trascorso un apprendistato prima di aprire il proprio laboratorio a Limoges, dove ha lavorato per oltre cinquant'anni. Divenne quello di Limoges, a lungo chiamato per i suoi smalti, l'artista più talentuoso. Nel 1925 espone all'Esposizione Internazionale di Parigi che dà il nome all'Art Déco. I suoi primi lavori riguardavano motivi floreali e figurativi più grandi, spesso in colori intensi e apparivano su vari prodotti come vasi, posacenere, scatole e ciotole. I suoi successivi disegni geometrici lo distinguono come un grande smaltatore creativo dello stile Art Déco. Possono essere riconosciuti attraverso modelli stilizzati nei toni del blu, rosso, arancione e giallo, accentati con i neri. Fauré morì nel 1944.
