Johannes Mauritz Jansen

Johannes Jansen (1876-1958) was a Dutch painter based primarily in Delft. He studied at the Royal Academy of Fine Art in The Hague and at the Polytechnic School in Delft, now the Delft University of Technology. The artistic oeuvre that was left behind by him is as versatile as his educational background, including etchings, drawings, watercolors and paintings. Jansen is mostly known for his excellent dune- and seascapes as well as his cityscapes.
