Maurits Constantijn Lapidoth was a Dutch painter who worked in The Hague, Ede, Bennekom, Nunspeet and Argentina. He is famous for his oil paintings and watercolors of meadows with cows, landscapes and farmhouses. Although he followed an art study at the Royal Academy of Arts in The Hague he is often described as an self-taught artist. Together with Gerrit Haverkamp, Jan Apol, Jan Kleintjes, Henri Wouters, Bernhard M. Kooldeweij and Zeegers he formed an art group in 1896. He was also a member of Pulchri Studio in The Hague, The Hague Art circle and extraordinary member at Arti et Amicitiae.
