    From an early age, the Leiden based art photographer Kommer Hakkenbrak became enchanted by the magic of photography. This resulted in an extensive oeuvre of unique photographic art, all of which contain a characteristic hushed beauty. The atmospheric photographs of still lifes and portraits take you back in time: old masters on the wall, but in a modern way. The special, natural and also unprocessed play of light and dark that can be seen in all of Kommer's photographs is reminiscent of the 17th-century masters. Besides each artwork having a limited edition, some first editions are framed in an antique frame. This makes Kommer's old master photography a unique art object for your home.

    Kommer Hakkenbrak is een autodidacte fotograaf uit Leiden Nederland. Klassieke tijdloze fotografie is zijn uitgangspunt.

    Hij fotografeerde voor Hans Ubbink , Squeeze , Dutch en Villa d Árte. Zijn stillevens doet je denken aan de 17de eeuwse meesters.

    Vooral de laatste jaren veroverde Cuba zijn hart , dit fotogenieke land is zijn grootste inspiratie. Nu Cuba in de vaart der volkeren omhoog wordt gestuwd, is het een gevecht tegen de tijd om dit vast te leggen.
