  • About the artwork
    With our sailing ship we sail along the beautiful mountains of Svalbard (Norway) and sometimes stay at anchor for a while.
    Around me there is silence and this silence I try to capture in images of these mountains.
  • About the artist

    My big passion is photography. In Africa I became fascinated by the colors, the views, flora and fauna.

    I studied photography at the Photographer school in Apeldoorn, specializing in portrait photography.

    After some wanderings, I am not only interested in portrait but also in nature, landscape and architecture photography.

    Light plays an important role in my work and the challenge for me is to play with light. I use different techniques for this and try to create unique and special photos.

    A large part of my work consists not only of taking the photo but also editing the photo afterwards.
