Jean George Grebe was a Dutch Silversmith. He is the son of the silver dealer Jean George sr. He produced for his father’s shop, but had an atelier of his own. From 1843 he shared partnership with Leendert Glazener at their firm ‘Grebe and Glazener’. They were most recognised for their silver locks, the new States Bibles (1849) and the Zuiderkerk in Rotterdam. From 1849 Grebe had on atelier of his own. He worked in Rotterdam and the silver city Schoonhoven. Grebe uses the makers mark JGG.

He participated at the world exhibition the Great Exibition in London (1851), The Exhibition of the Industry of All Nations in New York (1853-1854) and Exposition Universelle in Paris (1855).
