Alexander Numan (Baflo, 7 December 1780 - Utrecht, 1 September 1852) was a Dutch professor, Head of school, doctor and writer. He is considered to be the founder of the Dutch veterinary.
Numan is best known for his essays on the Keil dysentery epidemic of 1810 (1812) and on cow pox (1831).
