Felix Roulin was born in Dinant, Belgium on August 21, 1931. He attended the École des Métiers d"Arts of Maredsous and later became a teacher. From 1962 to 1996 he was a teacher at the Institut Supérieur d"Architecture et d"Art Visuel in Brussels.

In 1961 he not only received the Prix de la Jeune Sculpture Belge and the Prix du Musée Rodin he was also the laureate of the Biennale de Paris.

From that moment on he exhibited around the world including the Biennale de Paris (1966), the XIV Biennale de Sao Paulo (1967), the Biennale of Middelheim (1974), the Artolympiade Seoul (1988), Changshu, Fuzhou, Ningbo and Suzhou (China – 2008/2009).

Roulin commissioned many public monuments, including Namur (1966 & 1995), Ronquières (1967), Lessives (1972), the gates to the museum Grand Hornu (1973), a sculpted wall in front of the Centre Wallonie-Bruxelles in Paris (1979), Gerpinnes (1980), a sculpture for the park of Sart Tilman (Liège) (1981), the Adolphe Sax monument in Dinant (1994), Tilly (1996), interieur place Pierre de Coubertin Louvain-la-Neuve (1996), Theater van het Martelarenplein te Brussel (1998), Moncton (New Brunswick, Canada) (1999), L’arche du Millénaire in Andenne (2001).

Sculptures of Roulin are, regardless of their size, monumental. The combination of bronze and contermporary materials make them look and feel modern. The technical perfection of the artist is showcased in a perfect finish.
