Herman Paradies

Herman Paradies was a Dutch artist who was born on 14 September 1883, he died on 22 January 1966. He lived and worked in Rotterdam until 1940, thereafter he settled in Schiedam. He was a painter, watercolourist and draughtsman of cityscapes, including Rotterdam and Schiedam. His work demonstrates a strong affinity with that of his contemporary J.H. van Mastenbroek. He was a member of S45, the art society in Schiedam.
