Maurice Guiraud Rivière foi pintor, designer e escultor. Seus temas principais eram dançarinos, atletas e cavalos, geralmente em poses teatrais e capturados em movimento. Ele frequentemente combinava em suas esculturas o bronze com o marfim e o mármore. Entre 1919 e 1930, ele criou principalmente estatuetas de radiador e porcelana. Também produziu desenhos e pinturas, muitas vezes com paisagens, figuras, mas também com motivos esportivos.
