Huibert Marie (Huib) Luns (Paris, June 6, 1881 - Amsterdam, February 24, 1942) was a Dutch painter, sculptor, draftsman and author of books about Dutch painting. He was also a bookbinding designer, among others for his series of travel books.

Huib Luns was born as the third child of Theodorus Bernhardus Johannes Luns and Elisabeth Wijs. Received drawing lessons from Antoon and Theo Molkenboer and went to the National School for Drawing Education in Amsterdam and then did an internship at the National Academy of Visual Arts. Luns started working as a painter in Brussels and became a member of the Pour L'Art society. In 1908 he became head teacher at the Academy of Visual Arts and Technical Sciences in Rotterdam. Led the Royal School of Art, Technology and Craft for five years. From 1923 director of the National Normal School, as successor to W.B.G. Molkenboer (father of Antoon and Theo). In 1931 Luns became professor at Delft University of Technology (drawing and history of painting and sculpture). Gave many lectures and wrote numerous books on art. In all these years he continued to work as an artist.

In 1904 he competed for the Prix de Rome, as did his friend the painter Jan Sluijters. The latter then won him.

Huibert Marie Luns married Harriet Anna Paula Maria Louvrier on 14 April 1909. They had 6 children, including the painter Theo Luns and the renowned Minister of Foreign Affairs and Secretary General of NATO Joseph Luns.
