About the artist

Vadym Meller was born on April 26, 1884, in St. Petersburg. During his studies of law at Kyiv University around 1908 he was known to take courses at the Kyiv Art School. In the 1930's he left his avant-garde style for a more conservative one, consistent with socialist realism. Meller passed away in 1962.
