- About the artworkUnique Piece
Dimitri Likissas creates vibrant geometric paintings from countless colored dots. Inspired by pop art masters, his works pulse with rhythm and energy, revealing a dynamic world built from the smallest particles of life. - About the artist
Dimitri Likissas (Belgium, 1969) is a contemporary artist known for his colorful and mathematically structured compositions that merge art and technology.
With a background in graphic design and a fascination with digital visual culture, Likissas has developed a unique style in which he fragments iconic images into geometric patterns, color fields, and repetitions.
His work balances between pop art and abstraction: recognizable from afar, up close a carefully constructed grid of hues and pixels that compels the viewer to constantly shift distance and perspective. This visual dynamism forms the core of Likissas's oeuvre—a play between order and emotion, between digital perfection and human expression.
His paintings have been exhibited internationally and are included in collections in Europe and the United States. Likissas's work reflects the spirit of the 21st century: a time in which image, data, and identity are inextricably linked.
