    Carte de l'Afrique Meridionale ou pays entre la Ligne & Le Cap de Bonne Esperance et l'Isle de Madagascar copper engraving originally published by Nicolaes Visscher around 1710, here in an edition by Hendrik de Leth "Marchand d'Estampes près de la Boursse [d'Amsterdam]", who reprinted the map unchanged other than adding his own name around 1740. With original hand colouring. Size: 51 x 58 cm. Finely detailed antique map of Southern Africa showing the area from the Equator down to the Cape, with three insets of the Cape of Good Hope with its bay and elevation around Table Mountain. Also Robben Island is shown, "where the slaves walk in chains". Price: Euro850,-
