  Mongolian hore with naked man on the back, relaxingly sitting; Edition 2/8 ;Year of creation 2010.
  For Chinese sculptor Zhang Yong working in his spacious studio “is like sitting in a boat and crossing the river”. This is a lovely metaphor for a young, animated artist who always places people at the heart of his work.
  
  People, in all their nakedness, with all their loneliness and contemplation. Zhang Yong’s bronze sculptures are burned into your memory after a single encounter. Is it because of Zhang Yong’s ‘signature’, which is so unique and distinctive? The subdued and earthy colours which are just as engaging as the shape and subject matter of his sculptures?
  
  Zhang Yong has already built up an impressive body of work. He made his name at the Annual International Exhibition of Sculptures in Shanghai in 2007. This was followed by a number of solo exhibitions at important ‘art hot spots’ in China.
  
  In 2013 Galerie Kunstbroeders discovered Zhang Yong and brought his work to Europe. An introduction with wonderful consequences …

  Per lo scultore cinese Zhang Yong lavorare nel suo ampio studio “è come sedersi su una barca e attraversare il fiume”. Questa è una bella metafora per un artista giovane e animato che mette sempre le persone al centro del suo lavoro. Persone, in tutta la loro nudità, con tutta la loro solitudine e contemplazione. Le sculture in bronzo di Zhang Yong sono impresse nella tua memoria dopo un singolo incontro. È a causa della "firma" di Zhang Yong, che è così unica e distintiva? I colori tenui e terrosi che sono tanto accattivanti quanto la forma e il soggetto delle sue sculture? Zhang Yong ha già costruito un impressionante corpus di opere. Si è fatto un nome all'Esposizione Internazionale Annuale di Sculture a Shanghai nel 2007. Questa è stata seguita da una serie di mostre personali in importanti "punti caldi dell'arte" in Cina. Nel 2013 Galerie Kunstbroeders ha scoperto Zhang Yong e ha portato il suo lavoro in Europa.
