Aris Knikker

Aris Knikker was a Dutch painter who was born in Haarlem in 1887, he died in The Hague in 1962. Aris Knikker studied at the Academie in The Hague, where he lived most of his life. Although he was a delftware painter in Rozenburg, he became a free painter. He was specialised in landscapes, farm yards and waterscapes in the style of the Hague school. Knikker has become a known artist of The Hague and bears a resemblance to the work of J.H. Weissenbruch. Knikker also created paintings under the pseudonym, H. Endlich.
