About the artist

Germ de Jong began by painting landscapes and when he lived in Paris early 20th century, he painted Streets and houses When he returned to the Netherlands in 1933, he moved to Schoorl near Bergen, where he only painted still lifes of flowers.

In 1956 he had an exhibition in Het Stedelijk Museum Amsterdam.
