Dimensions: 220 × 95 × 55 cm
Material: Forged iron with beige patina - About the artist
Nimrod Messeg is an internationally acclaimed sculptor whose artistic journey began in his father’s workshop, where he discovered the magic of transforming raw metal into expressive form. From an early age, he was captivated by the dialogue between strength and beauty — a fascination that would define his life’s work.
After years of traveling the world and drawing inspiration from diverse cultures and landscapes, Nimrod Messeg settled in Marbella, Spain, in 1999. There, he founded his own workshop and gallery, a creative space where his distinctive sculptural language came to life.
Working exclusively with wrought iron, Messeg sculpts entirely by hand, forging each piece from more than a thousand individual fragments of metal. Employing ancient blacksmithing techniques — welding, hammering, plasma cutting — he achieves textures and forms that defy the hardness of his material. Under his skilled craftsmanship, the iron is reborn: fluid, elegant, and full of movement.
Messeg’s work spans organic shapes, expressive faces, and muscular or delicate animal forms, yet his enduring passion lies in the creation of his sensual, ethereal female torsos. These sculptures, both powerful and graceful, embody the paradox at the heart of his art: transforming something heavy and unyielding into a vision of lightness, emotion, and life.
Today, Nimrod Messeg is celebrated by leading international galleries and collectors for his unmistakable style — a fusion of technical mastery, emotional depth, and poetic sensitivity that elevates forged iron into timeless art.
