Art Breda is opening its doors on April 18th and we are happy to provide you with some guidelines about the activities around the art fair. Not only can you witness exceptional art objects, there's also the change to make your own collodion photographic portrait, join a free guided tour and many more.

The Stedelijk Museum Breda will show an impression of the ongoing museum exposition called True Beauty (3/3 – 19/8) in their stand 28. This exposition brings together the most stunning pictures, videos and visualisations from respected scientists with the work of artists who are inspired by science. The artist and inhabitant of Breda, Hubert Leyendeckers, takes a prominent role in this exposition.

In collaboration with collodion photographer Peter van Hal, BredaPhoto will create an original photo studio which takes you back in time. You can visit the ‘175-year-old’ studio and make your own collodion photographic portrait. From 5 September till 21 November, the 8th edition of BredaPhoto will take place. The biggest photo festival of the Benelux shows works of 55 (inter)national photographers. ‘To Infinity and Beyond’ is the overall topic of this year, and it will show the impact of technology on humans and their future. BredaPhoto shows the state of the art of contemporary photography based on an internationally relevant social theme.

For those who like antiques we recommend the Royal VHOK-Pavilion; Seven members of this organization can be found at this pavilion. Art dealer A.H. For visitors, Art Breda has special guided tours with art historian Marius van Dam. During this art tour at the fair, Marius will explain you all kinds of interesting information about art objects or tells art-related stories. The tours are for free and available for everybody during the art fair. From 12.30 till 16.00 h. For more information and signing up for this tour, you can go to the information desk at the entrance.
