The object presents as a dense, roughly spherical cluster of fused glass elements, defined by thick, clear loops and viscous "dribbles" that wrap around an intensely colored core. Heesen employs a rich, almost edible-looking color palette, layering deep cobalt blues and maroon-reds beneath a striking, prominent section of yellow-green at the top.
Bernard Heesen est un artiste et designer verrier néerlandais. Il a étudié l'architecture à Delft de 1977 à 1984 et a ensuite commencé à travailler dans la verrerie que son père, Willem Heesen, a fondée; De Oude Horn.
