About the artist

Arthur Stam is a Dutch hedendaagse kunstenaar the bekendstaat om zijn krachtige, vaak monumentale bilderijen waarin kleur, structuur en movement a centrale role play. In this work, he combines elements of abstract signage with figurative verwijzingen, which create compositions on the basis of energy as a backdrop.

Stam works with acrylic paint and mixed techniques on the doek. The pictures are characterized by expressive pictures, which are widely used, transparent layers and bright color contrasts can be seen. The door to the building is open to the public and has a visually visible structure in front of the structures that move in the direction of movement.

One important aspect of the work is the tension that can be controlled and spontaneous. Although these compositions have been carefully designed, they are now completely ruined for intuition and experiment. Verf wordt attached, gone and opnieuw opgebouwd, waardoor het schildproces zichtbaar blijft in het uiteindelijke werk.

In thematically opzicht laat Stam zich vaak inspire the landscape, architectural structures and steering dynamics. The inspiration has been really drawn from the letter that has been drawn up, so that the abstract can be found in the ritmes of the essence of a piece of paper.

The work of Arthur Stam was described as having a powerful design and balanced structure in the world. These pictures are made by particulative collections and have been regularly presented in galleries and tents in the Netherlands and elsewhere.
