  • About the artist

    Marino Marini (1901-1980) was an Italian sculptor, painter and graphic artist, known for his expressive and timeless works that often explore mythological and symbolic themes. Born in Pistoia, Tuscany, he studied at the Accademia di Belle Arti in Florence.

    Marini is best known for his equestrian statues, in which he explores the relationship between man and nature. His style combines classical traditions with modern influences, often characterized by powerful forms and a sense of movement. In addition to sculpture, he also worked in painting and printmaking, developing a rich visual language.

    His work has been recognized and exhibited internationally, including at the Venice Biennale and in museums such as the Peggy Guggenheim Museum. Marino Marini is considered one of the most important Italian artists of the 20th century.
