About the artist
Guy Janssen is a Belgian sculptor. He studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Antwerp. He prefers to work with marble, alabaster and freestone and in his work tries to look for the tension between the hardness and the organic, almost sensual aspects of his material. His work is exhibited in Belgium and internationally yearly, and he regularly is invited to sculptors symposia, such as in Tlaxcala, Mexico recently.
