    Fedor van Kregten, Johannes Aurelius Richard Fedor van Kregten in full, was born on January 16, 1871, in Diever and died on August 8, 1937, in The Hague. He was a Dutch painter best known for his landscapes featuring livestock.

    Van Kregten specialized in rural scenes in which cows, calves, and flocks of sheep play a central role. His paintings depict the Dutch countryside in a calm, balanced composition, with great attention to light, atmosphere, and natural proportions. The animals are not decorative elements, but form an essential part of the landscape.

    Fedor van Kregten's work is part of the tradition of Dutch landscape painting, in which everyday rural life was captured with care and skill. His oeuvre is prized by lovers of classical landscapes and is held in private collections.
