About the artist
Paul Ceulemans is a Dutch painter and sculptor whose work is entirely focused on the form of the bull. He attended the Academy of Fine Arts in Tilburg. Soon after he went to Spain to find the bull in its most beautiful condition. He ended up in Salamanca, where he spends his time making immense blue watercolours of bulls in order to constantly rediscover their form. Based on his sketches, he creates his bronze sculptures based on his watercolours. His sculptures are dynamic, energetic and extremely powerful.
