    Sweet and rare Art Nouveau vase made of enamel on copper with a decoration of cornflowers. Between the cornflowers are a few glass insects fixed on the enamel, a ladybug and a beetle. The quality is beautiful, real applied art. This vase was exhibited at one of the Paris Salons between 1895 and 1904. The vase is signed on the side with "Georges-Jean" and on the bottom with "Les Essarts-le-Roi".

    Nato a Versailles, Jean Georges è stato attivo nella seconda metà del XIX secolo e all'inizio del XX secolo. Ha anche firmato il suo lavoro con Georges-Jean. Ha lavorato per Les-Essarts-le-Roi, tra gli altri. Ha anche esposto più volte le sue opere a smalto ai Saloni di Parigi e all'Esposizione Universale del 1900. I suoi smalti si trovano in vari musei, tra cui il Berliner Kunstgewerbemuseum e il Musée Petit Palais di Parigi.
